AI Deterioration

I began this project by taking 20 photos of myself in my living room. Using these 20 photos, I trained an AI image generator to create images of me on Picture Studio. Once this model was trained, I used it to generate 20 images of “myself.” I then took these 20 generated images to train a second AI model, solely based off the AI images the first model made. I repeated this process for 25 generations, with each generation being one more step removed from the actual photos of myself than the last. This project shows the deterioration of AI image generation when AI models are trained on fabricated images. 

I selected two representative images out of the twenty for each generation.
